Happy New Year from the River House Inn!

It's been just over a year since we took over the ownership of the River House Inn, and what a year it has been. We started with some necessary renovations and décor changes to make it our own. The first floor of the original house got a major facelift with new ceilings and walls, a new kitchen, paint, wallpaper, lighting, and furniture. We were very fortunate to have been awarded a grant from the town of Snow Hill to help with the repair to our front porch, which we completed in late fall. Throughout the cottages, we did some refreshing as well, with a major overhaul of the former River Cottage (now called the Magnolia Cottage). Outside, we began with Phase 1 of our landscaping plan, with an updated front yard area including our new sign!

On June 1, 2023, we reopened and launched the new River House Inn!

We have so enjoyed our first year with all the activities the town of Snow Hill has to offer to us and our guests. Start planning a visit today, whether it is during the slower winter season or during some of the warmer summer months.

Our pool should be up and running sometime in May and remains open (weather-dependent) through September. Fall is absolutely beautiful with warm days and cool nights. Nearby Assateague and Chincoteague National Parks offer long beautiful walking and bathing beaches.

Snow Hill, Berlin, Salisbury, and Ocean City all have great food, entertainment, and indoor/outdoor activities throughout the year.   • MARCH, APRIL - Snow Hill's Annual Oyster Fest (Sunday, March 24th) – This sells out every year so buy your tickets early. Tickets sales begin February 1st. Easter Sunday; The return of Snow Hill's monthly First Fridays.
  • SUMMER MONTHS - Enjoy special monthly events like Snow Hill's Dancing Under the Stars, Furnace Town's Summer Music Series; Snow Hill's First Fridays; live music at various establishments; Special paddling adventures hosted by Pocomoke River Canoe Company such as moon rising and ladies nights.
